VentureDig’s Take
It’s fascinating that forums are still the dominant and standard form of communication. Most recently, wiki-based philosophies have emerged; however, they’ve yet to dethrone the good ‘ol days of message boards/forums. I definitely agree with Torrent’s identification of the market pain. The solution is, of course, something like Twitter where people didn’t know there was a market until Twitter made a market.
Also, if you’ve ever had to design a website, communication and placement of commenting is a very tough decision. One must figure out the design so that comments don’t distract and crowd out the site’s main function; however, there must be a place for interaction. Especially in today’s age of web 2.0 madness.
I really like Tucent’s aim, their idea and the simple concept.
