Conclusion
If you care about your personal brand and want to demonstrate your authority to the world, then you need to rank high on http://Viralogy.com
In the fragmented field of niche blogging, it’s surprising how siloh’d the blogging world still is. In order to find other bloggers in your niche, you’re left with three main options: (i) setting up google alerts, (ii) searching in Technorati, (iii) Building a starting point from alltop. I really like Viralogy’s meritocratic nature–I never really got that sense from Technorati, which is why I never visit it. I also think it’s movable feature box will be valuable for finding new bloggers in your niche.
Bottom Line: The need is real. There’s opportunity in the space. Viralogy’s success is contingent upon their execution and results of the algorithm (how effectively it really delivers relevant, valuable content). I’m looking forward to its growth.

One of the hardest things to accomplish in social ranking is a rank based on a specific set of keywords. Just knowing that someone has a lot of Twitter followers doesn’t tell you why they are being followed, and what areas of interest they have influence over. We have built a system that delivers ranking based on a specific set of Google search terms at http://www.AlertRank.com. It goes beyond PageRank, which is again only a gross measurement of total influence. The key is telling you who matters most for *your* keywords.
