I like the specific niche that buddingup proposes to target. The recent grad market is one that reloads every year. While it’s true that a recession may engender a slight decline in the growth rate, it’s long-term growth is inevitable. The market is there, and will continue to be there.Their use of google friend connect is an interesting one. Many individuals in the recent grad category may find facebook a more familiar form of connection when compared to google friend connect, which is a long-tail play.
I’ve seen quite a few similar services; however, I’m having a tough time remembering one that focuses exclusively on the recent grad category. One specific site worth mentioning that I can think of is Student Businesses; yet, the site focuses on entrepreneurs and not young ladder-climbers
Biased opinions aside, the site does indeed offer real-life value, as the job-listings are real and recent. That’s definitely a compelling reason to invest time exploring the site. There are further advancements that must be done to the site. Like search and sorting; however, overall it’s a good start.
Bottom line: a solid career site worth checking out for the recent grad. The competition, growth and business model will likely be tinkered with to position itself as a viable player in the market. Best of luck to these guys.
